What this is
A calculator, not an adviser
Everything runs in your browser
Every calculation happens on your own device in JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent to a server, because there is no server-side calculation to send it to. That is also why the site works instantly and needs no account.
Rates come from published law
Slab schedules and withholding rates are taken from the Income Tax Ordinance, the current Finance Act and FBR notifications. Each calculator names the section it implements so you can check the source yourself.
Where a rate can't be verified, you enter it
Some figures move constantly or vary by province, distribution company or HS code — gold prices, electricity tariffs, customs duties, provincial contribution rates. Rather than hardcode a number that would quietly go stale, those calculators ask you for the current figure and say where to find it.
How the numbers are checked
Verification
Hand-computed test cases
Each calculator's maths is checked against figures worked out by hand, including boundary cases and the edges where a rule changes.
Cross-checks between tools
Calculators that share a schedule are checked to agree with each other, so the same income cannot produce two different answers in two places.
Fiqh sources for Islamic tools
The inheritance calculator was cross-verified against a published 134-case corpus. Where schools of thought differ, the difference is disclosed on the page rather than silently resolved.
Disclosed limits
Where a calculator does not model something — an exemption category, a fee, an adjustment — the page says so instead of implying completeness.
Be clear about this
What this site is not
Not tax advice
These are estimates produced from the figures you enter. They are not advice, and they do not account for your full circumstances. For anything consequential — a filing position, a dispute, a large transaction — take advice from a qualified tax professional.
Not a filing service
Returns are filed with FBR through IRIS. Nothing calculated here is submitted anywhere, and using this site has no effect on your tax record.
Not a religious ruling
The Islamic calculators implement widely-held positions, defaulting to Hanafi fiqh where schools differ, and note the differences. They are a computation aid — for a ruling on your situation, consult a qualified scholar.

Rates change and mistakes happen. A specific report — which calculator, what you entered, what you expected — gets fixed fastest.
